he Department of Human Services
(DHS) is nearing completion of its curiously-named “Congress Heights Service Center” location—quite notably located not
in Congress Heights, but rather in Bellevue. For those unfamiliar, the mission of DHS is not only to collaborate with the community, but also to assist low-income individuals and families in maximizing their potential for economic security and self-sufficiency. To that end, for example, DHS provides food stamps, Medicaid, and TANF benefits to those eligible.
That being said, I noticed that the new facility is nearing completion of the construction, as evidenced by the (nicely-done) landscaping going in. What I also noticed, was that the fencing surrounding the facade of the front was down on one end, brazenly enticing me to trespass. Having taken the bait with no hesitation, I snapped some pics.
